[Johann Pitout] As far as human pathogens go, there are two species of Enterobacter species that are the most clinically relevant—Enterobacter aerogenes and Enterobacter cloacae complex. Enterobacter aerogenes has recently been moved back to the Klebsiella genus, and is now named Klebsiella aerogenes. It's not an Enterobacter anymore. filexlib. Enterobacter strains 090008T and 090028T were recovered from the blood of two different patients at West China Hospital, Chengdu, PR China in 2017. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene and multi-locus sequence analysis of the rpoB, gyrB, infB and atpD housekeeping genes revealed that the two strains were distinct from any previously known species of the genus Enterobacter .

Enterobacter species, Morganella morganii, Proteus mirabilis and indole-positive Proteus species including Proteus vulgaris. The usual spectrum of antimicrobial activity of sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim includes bacterial pathogens isolated from middle ear exudate and from bronchial secretions (Haemophilus influenzae,
Taxonomically, the Enterobacteriaceae family currently has 53 genera and over 170 named species, of these 26 genera are known to be associated with infections in humans. Many of the familiar bacteria are found in this family e.g. Escherichia coli, Shigella, Salmonella, Enterobacter, Proteus, Yersinia, etc. LF and NLF colonies in MacConkey Agar.
Enterobacter species are facultative anaerobic, Gram-stain-negative, and saprophytic microorganisms found in soil, sewage, and as a commensal enteric flora files, and genes related to potential virulence and pathogenic potential of the ISS Enterobacter strains. A three-year study of ECC in Germany identified Enterobacter xiangfangensis as the most common species (65.5%) detected, a result replicated by examining a global pool of 3246 isolates. Antibiotic
Biochemically and metabolically diverse; ferment glucose by the mixed acid pathway; Klebsiella, Enterobacter and Serratia utilize the butanediol pathway Taxonomy of Enterobacteriaceae: Over 30 genera and 120 species. More than 95% of clinically significant strains fall into 10 genera and less than 25 species
most common genera and species isolated from clinical specimens. The identification of Enterobacteriaceae can be simplified by taking advantage of the fact that three species comprise 80-95% of all isolates in the clinical setting. These are Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Proteus mirabilis1. The other species can be easily
DNA-DNA hybridization distinguished strain Ola 51T from closely phylogenetically related Enterobacter species. Based on these data, the novel species Enterobacter oryzae sp. nov. is proposed, with strain Ola 51T (=LMG 24251T =CGMCC 1.7012T) as the type strain.
